Polkka – Pohjois-Karjalan tukipalvelut oy participated in Work in Finland’s IMAGO coaching autumn 2025.

The coaching provided reinforcement and tips for maintaining and developing a strong employer image.

Diversity and the foundations of company culture

The IMAGO coaching consisted of three separate sessions focusing on topics such as building a strong and diverse employer image and the foundations of company culture.

“Our company already has a solid strategy and a clear set of values, so the topics were familiar to us. Still, it was encouraging to see that we have been focusing on the right things,” says Ninja Penttilä, HR Specialist at Polkka.

The coaching suits both emerging and growing companies

The IMAGO coaching offers practical tools for advancing equality and equity by fostering diversity. According to Penttilä, the program is well-suited for companies at both the start-up and growth stages.

“If your goal is to strengthen your employer image, enhance marketing and communications, or improve recruitment, the IMAGO coaching can offer both practical tools and valuable insights,” Penttilä notes.

A strong employer image stems from the organization’s dedication to supporting employees’ success, wellbeing, and commitment at work. This, in turn, drives results. Polkka is committed to fostering the welfare of its work community and enhancing its employer image.

“It’s the everyday actions that define success, and a positive employer image strengthens both the company’s ability to attract and to retain skilled workforce,” says HR Specialist Jonna Jolkkonen.

"If your goal is to strengthen your employer image, enhance marketing and communications, or improve recruitment, the IMAGO coaching can offer both practical tools and valuable insights."

Insights and practical tips for recruitment and onboarding

According to Penttilä, the IMAGO coaching is especially useful for companies looking to define or clarify their strategy and values. The sessions also offered practical insights into recruitment and onboarding, something that HR specialists found particularly important.

“The coaching is compact and focused, so it’s helpful to familiarise yourself with the topics in advance. For us, the small-group discussions with other participants were especially rewarding. We’d like to encourage future participants to engage in open and honest dialogue,” says Jonna Jolkkonen.
