Work in Finland is studying current and potential new labour migration markets. Preliminary findings will be shared in an upcoming event.

The study also examines how target country activities can be better aligned with the skills needs of companies in Finland.

The goals of the study are to:

  • Analyse the current target countries: India, the Philippines, Vietnam, Brazil, the EU and the United States.
  • Identify new potential target markets.
  • Gather insights from companies and stakeholders on potential markets, how they can be connected to demand in Finland, and what kind of support is expected from Finland to promote labour migration.

Based on the study, recommendations will be made for Finland’s future target country choices.

We will present the preliminary findings of the study on Monday, March 3rd, from 9:00 to 10:30 (EET) on Teams.

The event includes time for discussion and comments. The event language is Finnish.

We also invite you to respond to a survey targeted at companies and stakeholders.
